in the mist
this was the first day that we made it up to the slopes after getting all our ski gear. we weren't too impressed when we got to the top of the gondola as visibility was a couple of feet at the most, the skies were a dark grey and the slopes were more ice than snow. not really what you want if you haven't been for 2 years!
by the time we stopped for lunch the visibilty had improved, although it could change in a matter of seconds. this was the mountain opposite which appeared and disappeared from between the clouds.
