i could never be a wildlife photographer. a few minutes before taking this, and as it happens a few seconds after the little plants, i saw a bunch of ducks on the shore of the pond about to jump in. i thought that it would be a good point to try and get an action shot so i zoomed in, adjusted the focus, adjusted the dials and clicked. nothing happened. confused, i looked at the screen and the dials, tweaked it a little, and then took a test shot to make sure that it was working properly. as i clicked again the flash flipped open and white light shot out of the top of my camera. the ducks vanished in an instant and i was left with a brightly illuminated photo of my feet.
