last night i was in manchester watching the flaming lips - which i believe is the fourth time i've seen them live. i certainly remember seeing them play at glastonbury a few years ago as well as two more times in 2006. in fact when tickets went on sale for yesterday's performance i wasn't sure whether to get any, then i watched UFOs at the Zoo - their live dvd - and i remembered how much fun the concerts were. by that point tickets had sold out, but i had no qualms about going on ebay and paying inflated prices. if you haven't seen them live then i can't stress enough what an enjoyable show it is. i managed to get my slr inside, so be warned, i might have as many lips shots to post as i do from my recent holiday in peru. i thought i'd kick them off with what i would regard as a typical flaming lips scene.
